 ProxySG on AWS instance types and configurations

Environment

If you purchased a small license (such as SG-VA-C2S or SG-VA-C16S), you might have the option of two AWS instance types; for example, SG-VA-C2S can use either an m4.large or m4.xlarge instance.

*The number of allowed CPUs is determined by the type of ProxySG license you have and not by the number of CPUs the AWS instance type allows for; for example, an m4.large instance has 2 CPUs, but an SG-VA-C1XS license allows for only 1 CPU. In this example, the number of CPUs must be restricted to 1.

**The boot disk is created automatically during deployment.

*For m4.10xlarge instances, the CPU count must be 32 cores or less for the ProxySG VA to function.

**After the instance is deployed, you cannot change the number of CPUs.

Storage and Network Settings

Storage Settings	For all supported instance types, the following storage settings are correct:   For the Root volume, 8 GB of General Purpose SSD   For each Data disk EBS volume, configure one of the following options:   100 GB of General Purpose SSD with 300 IOPS   200 GB of General Purpose SSD with 600 IOPS   For the Data disk EBS volumes, ensure that the correct number of virtual disks exist for your instance type. Network Settings	You can specify multiple network interfaces if needed; however, at least one interface must have a route to the public Internet. By default, the ProxySG on AWS provides a single network interface for both management and traffic.
