XCOM Data Transport - z/OS

Issue/Introduction

We are in the process to migrate our XCOM Open SSL to IBM System SSL. In that process we ran a test job TYPE=SCHEDULE, and tried to transmit some files, from our XCOM with SSLPORT= 08045, to the remote XCOM using IBM System SSL and SSLPORT= 08049. The job failed with the following error message:

XCOMM1510E System SSL: gsk_secure_socket_init: RC = 406: Reason = Error while reading or writing data
XCOMM0093E ERROR ACTIVATING SESSION - SESSION NOT ESTABLISHED

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : XCOM Data Transport for z/OS

Resolution

The problem was caused by Firewall definitions. Once the Firewall definition was corrected the transfer was successful.
