Issue/Introduction

During CAUNZIP execution the following errors appeared:

CAZIP16E: Shell Command cat 

EDC5047I An invalid file name was specified as a function parameter.

CAZIP16E: Shell Command cat //home/USER/EZTR116/.../SMPTXT/RI32712 >> //home/USER/EZTR116/.../SMPTXT/TEXTFILE failed with RC=1.
CAZIP16E:  cat: //home/USER/EZTR116/.../SMPTXT/RI32712: EDC5047I An invalid file name was specified as a function parameter.

Environment

COMMON COMPONENTS AND SERVICES FOR Z/OS Release : 15.0

CAUNZIP UTILITY

Cause

Error in allocating disk space, as described in the COMMON COMPONENTS AND SERVICES FOR Z/OS 15.0 manual.

 

Resolution

The issue was resolved by increasing the ZFS file system.

The file system must be allocated with approximately 4.5 times the space of the zip file being processed.
