Issue/Introduction

A process does not auto-start when the condition uses Task 'Open To Dos' attribute.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create and activate a new process that just starts and finishes, based on the Task object, with the following auto-start condition:
    Start Event: Update
    ( Task Open To Dos != Task Open To Dos [Previous Value] )
    [task.todo_count_open != task.todo_count_open__oldValue]
  2. Create a new To Do for a Task.

Expected Results: The process auto-starts automatically.

Actual Results: The process does not auto-start.

Cause

Open To Dos is an Aggregated Calculated Attribute (ACA). ACAs cannot be used for auto-start conditions, since these are UI calculated fields and the results of these fields are calculated after the record is commitment so the auto-start trigger will not fired.

Environment

Release : 16.0.1

Component : Clarity Process Management

Resolution

ACAs, as well as Virtual attributes, are not supported in auto-start conditions.
