Issue/Introduction

Unable to connect to monitoring point from Remote Webadmin from Appneta APM Portal.

Usage monitoring is not working on monitoring point.

Required Capture Server address for whitelist.

Cause

Monitoring point is unable to connect to capture server.

Firewall may be blocking outbound connection to capture server.

Resolution

Check Firewall is allowing traffic to capture server:

How to find Capture Server Address

1. Login into monitoring point from local webadmin by IP:

2. On the left pane, click Monitoring Point Health > Server Reachability

3. From Server Reachability, see capture server address:

4. Ensure following parameters are allowed on firewall:

Address: Capture Server Address

Port: TCP 443

Direction: Outbound
