 U0401 abend when invoking Endevor.  

 the message looks like this:

USER COMPLETION CODE=0401 REASON CODE=00080008 

In some cases, the reason code does not display as part of the error message.

ABEND U0401 OCCURRED IN PROGRAM BC1PSM10

ABEND U0401 OCCURRED IN PROGRAM ENDIE000

ABEND U0401 OCCURRED IN PROGRAM BC1G0100

Resolution

The cause of the U0401 can be determined by the reason code.

0004 - ENUXSITE NOT FOUND OR NOT IN APF LOADLIB      
0008 - C1DEFLTS IDENTIFIED BY ENUXSITE NOT IN APF LOADLIB OR NOT LINKED WITH RENT ATTRIBUTE. Confirm Link step in BC1JTABL has correct parm list - PARM='LIST,NCAL,XREF,LET,RENT,REUS'
000C - CSVQUERY FAILED TO OBTAIN C1DEFLTS ENTRY POINT TOKEN   
0010 -  FAILED TO DELETE ENUXSITE                             
 

For example if  ENUXSITE was not available or could not be found then this program will ABEND S000 U0401 REASON CODE X'00040806'.
