Symantec Management Center - "The internal device ID has unexpectedly changed (XXX). To reconcile this, use the RMA Device operation"

Issue/Introduction

Issue:

When pressing the Operations > "RMA Device" button on the  on the device we cannot click the "Update device" button because the "Previous identifier" field is empty..

Warning:

"The internal device ID has unexpectedly changed (XXX). To reconcile this, use the RMA Device operation"

Resolution

Follow the steps to resolve the issue:

1. SMC > Network > Click on Device > Operations > "Change monitoring status" then click Next > click "Deactivate Devices" > Run Now

2. SMC > Network > Click on Device > Operations > "Change monitoring status" then click Next > click "Activates Devices" > Run Now

The warning will disappear once reactivated.
