Issue/Introduction

You encounter an error when trying to complete the Phase 2 migration on a Windows detection server and migration Phase 2 failed. The migration logs will output the following: 

SEVERE: Failed to start service SymantecDLPDetectionServerService.
com.symantec.dlp.migrationcommon.jni.JNIException: Error calling StartServiceW: The service did not start due to a logon failure.

Cause

While upgrading the Windows detection server you may not remember or know the local protect services credential. You reset the password and forget to update the password through the services.msc

Resolution

Update the password from the services.msc for the Detection services controller - Once updated re-run the migration.
