Issue/Introduction

Our Systems programming group is asking this question regarding OPSMVS and SDSF. 

We are in the process of converting our SDSF ISFPRM00 parmlib member to RACF.  Does OPSMVS use anything in SDSF we need to take into account for this conversion?

Resolution

There is no direct interaction between OPS/MVS and SDSF as OPS/MVS uses its own Extended Consoles to monitor message traffic, and OPS/REXX programs do not support the ADDRESS SDSF host environment.

However, indirect interaction might exist if a TSO REXX program that contains an ADDRESS SDSF statement is called from OPS/MVS. In that case there may be a need to grant some level of access to OPS/MVS, but the answer to that would be outside the scope of Broadcom support and would be a question for IBM.
