Issue/Introduction

Attempting to export the IME via the tool  ImportExportUtil.sh in the production environment.

This process fails after 70 minutes.   We have timeout of 620 minutes.

The same process works fine for a lower environment with 30K roles with no issues.

We have enabled extra loggers.

Resolution

Using the JDBC loggers when we attempted an export, we identified provisioning role objects that had characters that Oracle DB replaced with an upside-down questions mark, which impacted the display and export process.
