Upgrading 10.5 APMIA agent to 10.7 SP3

Issue/Introduction

Please tell me the steps of upgrading the agent to SP3.

I cannot find any document related to 10.7 SP3 update for Java and infrastructure agents on the Broadcom website.

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Component : Introscope

Resolution

1. Download the 10.7 SP3 APMIA Agent for your OS.

2. On your existing 10.5 APMIA, stop the Agent.

<APMIA Home>/APMIAAgent.<bat or sh depending  on OS> stop

3. Uninstall the 10.5 APMIA Agent

<APMIA Home>/apmia-ca-installer.<bat or sh depending  on OS> uninstall

4. Extract the new 10.7 SP3 APMIA Agent to another directory

5. Install the 10.7 SP3 APMIA Agent

<APMIA 10.7 SP3 Home>/apmia-ca-installer.<bat or sh depending  on OS> install

6. The new APMIA Agent will be running so stop it as you will be porting over the settings from the 10.5 Agent profile and any other (if any) customized pbds.

<APMIA 10.7 SP3 Home>/APMIAAgent.<bat or sh depending  on OS> stop

7. After performing the changes to the Agent profile (i.e. setting the EM to connect to and its port) and any other pbd modifications you may have, then start it back up and monitor that it connects.
