Issue/Introduction

Translating using Localize Clarity feature doesn't translate for Dutch as language 

Steps to Reproduce: 

  1. Login to Clarity and enable Localization feature 
  2. Navigate to Administration --> General Settings --> Localization 
  3. Choose Language as Dutch and click on Export Captions 
  4. Unzip the exported captions and look for file captions_nl.properties
  5. In the captions_nl.properties look for a lookup value example below 
  6. Change the desired translation, zip the content and upload the captions 
  7. To upload the caption Administration --> General Settings --> Localization 
  8. Attach the caption zip and click on upload captions 

Expected Results: The changed lookup description should show up in the UI 

Actual Results: No changes are observed for the changed translation

Cause

DE65208 

Resolution

Upon reviewing by engineering team DE65208 was determined to be 'Works as Designed'.  

In order to update any caption, the Administrator needs to change both name and description in captions_<lang_code>.properties file.
