CPF2972 RECEIVED BY INSTALL201 when upgrading XCOM for AS/400 i5/OS from r11 SP0 to SP1.

XCOM™ Data Transport® for AS/400 i5/OS

Cause

This error indicates a problem copying over the original XCOMLOG. This message can happen when the XCOM upgrade is copying the XCOMLOG. (This is the original XCOMLOG; not the detail log.) The XCOM UPGRADE has a limit of 10,000 records when copying the XCOMLOG. If the original XCOMLOG is larger than 10,000 records you will get this error. 

Resolution

  1. To continue with the install, reply Cancel to the message. This is not a fatal error.
  2. After the installation, it will them be necessary to resize and reorganize the XCOMLOG in order to restore logging. Perform the following commands to reset the XCOMLOG:
CHGPF FILE(XCOM2/XCOMLOG) REUSEDLT(*YES)
RGZPFM FILE(XCOM2/XCOMLOG)
LOGSIZEUPD SIZE(size) CLEAR(*NO)
