Implementing LU05899 for Datacom/AD

Issue/Introduction

I have applied LU05899, and am trying to run the HOLDDATA. The first step is to turn off access to the Datacom Dynamic System Tables (DST).

When I run the DBUTLTY function:

  ACCESS STATUS=UTLTY,DBID=1000,USERS=WAIT

this job just hangs out there.

What do I need to do with this?

Resolution

This solution is not currently needed for Datacom/AD customers. None of the base products currently use this table, so the enhancement to add the MUF_BFR_POOL_AREA (MPA) Dynamic System Table is not needed.

If the solution has been applied, nothing further is necessary for Datacom/AD, as this solution only updates the source Datadictionary member in your CAAXSAMP PDS. This is not deleterious, and can actually be beneficial if you happen to run a job to recreate the Datacom Dynamic System Tables (which is not likely for most customers). Therefore, if applied, leave things as they are, and if there is a product that will need to use this table in the future, they will provide the best way to complete the implementation for Datacom/AD.
