The OIDs required for the collection of data vary widely from device to device/metric to metric and discovery is done in a probing manner to detect what is supported on the device.

MIB2 system is commonly used, as well as other parts of MIB2 for interfaces, etc.

You can get a further idea of the MIBs used for the different devices by looking at what they have been certified for and the Metrics/MIBs used within.
