Issue/Introduction

"Unable to connect to the IM Provisioning server"

Provisioning Server is up and running.

Environment

Release : 14.X, v15

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Resolution

Attempt to log into the provisioning server via an LDAP browser such as Jxplorer and confirm that your credentials are in fact correct.

Bind: eTGlobalUserName=etaadmin,eTGlobalUserContainerName=Global Users,eTNamespaceName=CommonObjects,dc=im,dc=eta

PW: Shared Secret

Host: IMPS HostName

Level: User + Password

For non - TLS Port: 20389 (To check this one in v15 make sure "Enable Insecure Port" is set to true in  IGA Xpress console - Service - Provisoning Server configuration)

Level: SSL + User + Password

For TLS Port: 20390

If this is working is  having one issue with the Workstation where Provisioning Manager is running.

For IM in version 14.X try to install again the 14.4 VirtualApplianceTools.exe to install Provisioning Manager. Provisioning Manager setup is done during the installation and no more required for your to run the Setup program. Once the installation is complete just run the Provisioning Manager and you should be able to connect to the Provisioning Server.

For IM in version 15 try to uninstall and then reinstall IMPM. Make sure Windows administrator aaccount is used.

If possible try to not reuse 14.5 IMPM machine to install v15 IMPM.

check if IMPM installed on fresh windows machine can connect to PS.

Additional Information

This can also be caused by different version of IMPM installed before on the system
