SDCs will not connect and showing socket error 111

Issue/Introduction

We are receiving socket error 11 in the sdmLog.log and there are thousands of alarms that should not be generating.

Cause

Name resolution and SDC versioning

Resolution

Verify the etc/hosts file has the correct entries for the SS and SDC hosts.  If those are correct, then verify the install version of the SDC.  If the SDC version is not at the same version as the SS, this error may generate.  To resolve it, upgrade the SDC to the same version as the SS.
