Issue/Introduction

The agent.xml file that is created during agent registration on the CCS manager (and removed when the 'Fetch Registered Agents' imports the agent into CCS) can now be archived in case you need to re-import an agent.

Environment

Release: CCS 12.6.X

Component: CCS Manager

Resolution

To archive the agent .xml files that are created when an agent is registered to a manager, manually create the following folder on each CCS Manager that the agent(s) are registered.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\CCS\Reporting and Analytics\ESM\assets-archive

The agent.xml file that is created during agent registration is now archived in the ESM\assets-archive directory. So, in case you need to re-import an agent, you must copy the agent.xml file to the ESM\assets folder before running a Fetch Registered agents job again.

NOTE: The ESM\assets-archive folder will need to be manually purged to clear up disk space.
