Issue/Introduction

There are various PTFs for Datacom Server related to JDBC including updating the .JAR files.

We are connecting via ODBC so do we need to update the jar files?

Release : 15.0

Component : Datacom/Server

Resolution

The Datacom ODBC driver is used in Microsoft windows and is distributed as executable dll files.
JDBC is a Java API used in Linux systems and is distributed as jar files.
The jar files are not used by ODBC so you don't need apply the JDBC PTFs if only using ODBC.
In any case, the latest windows ODBC PTF will also include the latest jar files.
