Convert an existing Probe profile into an MCS Profile

Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to take the current IM logmon profile and convert it to an MCS profile or will I need to recreate it from scratch?

The MCS UI is built to manually enter the needed configuration into a Profile. The creation of these profiles is done using a predefined "MCS probe Template" which is a UI built to enable the different keys and values supported by the probe.

The templates are updated/maintained with new versions as they are released with improvements or fixes.

Sometimes, especially in early stage of a template release, not all configuration that is present in the probe GUI is also available in the MCS Template. There is no 1 to 1 correlation between what the probe can do and what the MCS profile can do -  and this is why the template must be filled in manually when created. 

Unfortunately, it is not possible to convert a probe configuration file created in IM or Admin Console into an MCS profile so you must create it manually.
