How do I generate and upload diagnostics files for Symantec support analysis?

Environment

Reporter version 11.0.1.1

Resolution

This can be done only through CLI

Option 1: In enable mode

  • SSH into Reporter
  • Enter enable mode
  • Use the command: diagnostics service-info send-sr <case number> (Example: 12345678)

Sample output

  export      Copy diagnostic info to externally-accessible directory
  save-core   Save diagnostic core file from Reporter process
  send-sr     Specify Service Request number

reporter# diagnostics service-info send-sr <case-number>

  • SSH into Reporter
  • Enter enable mode
  • Enter configuration mode

Use these commands: 

  • diagnostics service-info
  • send <case number> (Example: 12345678)
