When posting time for a resource that has multiple roles at different levels (Primary Role, Project Role or Assignment Role) - which role is used?

Resolution

The most specific role is taken into account when posting.

For example, a resource has a Primary Role of 'Developer', it is a team member of a project with a Project Role of 'DBA', and for a specific task the resource is assigned with an Assignment Role of 'Network Engineer'.

When posting time for that task, as the most specific role is the Assignment Role (Network Engineer), this is the role that will be taken into account.

If the same resource is assigned to another task of the same project without any specific Assignment Role, then the Project Role (DBA) will be used.

Lastly, if the same resource is assigned to a different project without any specific Project Role (or Assignment Role), then the Primary Role will be used.
