We would like to change the Resource ID but it does not appear to be editable. Why?
Release: All Supported Releases
Component: Administration
Resource has been financially enabled.
Clarity Resource IDs can only be changed if a user is not yet financially-enabled.
Once a Resource has become financially enabled, the Resource ID field becomes read-only.
The Resource ID cannot be changed on Resources that have had the 4 required fields populated
-Financial Department
-Financial Location
-Transaction Class
-Resource Class
So when a Clarity resource's financial properties are set, the resource ID will become read-only
The "Financially Active" flag being on or off is not key here, but rather the above 4 required fields being set.
If the application does not allow a change due to the current properties on the resource (being financially enabled), the administrator can deactivate the existing resource and create a new resource with the desired ID value. The existing resource cannot be deleted.
From the Active Directory authentication standpoint, the username must match whatever is mapped to the username in the CSA in order for LDAP to work.
In the case of Active Directory, it is almost always sAMAccountName.
In Clarity, change the Resource Ids individually via the UI with the external authentication option unchecked and then check it again.
