Issue/Introduction

Trying to deploy latest APMIA for Windows for ASM bundle, we get the following area message

 [INFO] [IntroscopeAgent.Asm.MainThread] [508] API call failed: java.security.cert.CertificateException: No subject alternative DNS name matching api.asm.ca.com found.. Will retry in 89,688ms.

This is seen in the APMIA log file.

Environment

Release : 21.3

Component : Introscope

Resolution

Update asm url property in the ASM extension bundle.properties file to below

asm.URL=https://api.asm.saas.broadcom.com/1.6/

Additional Information

ASM API hostnames api.asm.ca.com and api.cloudmonitor.ca.com were replaced by api.asm.saas.broadcom.com.

The dashboard was moved from asm.ca.com to asm.saas.broadcom.com

This change was listed in the release notes for ASM 10.5 https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/app-synthetic-monitor/SaaS/getting-started/release-notes-and-information/September-2020-10-5.html

All occurrences of these hostnames in the documentation should be replaced on the following pages:

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/application-performance-management/10-7/integrating/integrate-with-app-synthetic-monitor-asm.html

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/application-performance-management/10-7/integrating/integrate-ca-app-synthetic-monitor-in-your-apm-deployment.html

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/application-performance-management/10-7/integrating/use-ca-app-synthetic-monitor-to-enhance-application-monitoring.html

Additionally, the page should inform customers to update their CAAppSyntheticMonitor.properties as follows:

apmcm.url = https://api.asm.saas.broadcom.com/1.6
