Agentless Monitoring tasks stopped triggering. Error: "Status 500: An unexpected condition prevented the server from fulfilling the request (0x8FA101F4)"

Issue/Introduction

Agentless monitoring task and policies are no longer working. The agentless metrics aren't available to be selected by the real-time performance viewer.   

Error in the logs:

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Cause

Altiris\PluggableProtocols\NSAccess site in IIS is corrupted, or the folder ':\Program Files\Altiris\PluggableProtocols\Web\NSAccess' does not exist

Resolution

1. First make sure the file 'NSAccess.aspx ' exists in :\Program Files\Altiris\PluggableProtocols\Web\NSAccess.
2. Then in IIS check 'Altiris\PluggableProtocols\NSAccess'  and make sure it can be opened and has the correct path.
   • Right click on NSAccess (Or the page you see in the error) > Manage Application > Advanced Settings
   • The physical path should be  <Installed Drive>\Program Files\Altiris\PluggableProtocols\Web\NSAccess\

Save and restart IIS.
