Issue/Introduction

When trying to update a drop-down list field to either add, delete or modify a value, the following error is seen:

The Field could not be saved.
Please correct the errors identified below and click one of the "Save" buttons.

When examining the form, no error is indicated as expressed in the error.

 

Cause

This can sometimes be caused by a suppressed duplicate value in an unrelated field and will require a direct database update to resolve.

Resolution

The resolution will involve a number of steps that will require a support ticket to resolve.
