Issue/Introduction
An environment utilizes an external dataset which stores usernames and passwords that are used within ITPAM.
When orchestration flows start, these users and passwords are used throughout the entire automated flows in the script attributes pane.
In some cases, at various points in the automated flows some of the passwords are modified to an empty string and in some cases the characters are replaced by star characters (*****).
This is not tied to specific account/password and happens throughout the product which will cause failed authentication and failed workflows.
Environment
PAM 4.3 CP3 and CP4
Resolution
Applying ITPAM 4.3.05 CP05 resolves the problem.
"Any new password will be encrypted and decrypted using AES-256 algorithm. Also, it will handle the decryption of any old encrypted password.
NOTE
The old encrypted password will not be updated unless the artifact is updated by the user."
