unexpected alarm BRIDGE PORT STATE HAS TRANSITIONED FROM LEARNING TO FORWARDING STATE on router

Issue/Introduction

According to the network team the alarm BRIDGE PORT STATE HAS TRANSITIONED FROM LEARNING TO FORWARDING STATE should be generated only on switch devices and not on router, however customer is seeing it also on a device modeled as router.

Resolution

The event 0xd0002 that generated the alarm is a trap event:

 

If the router device is configured to send that trap, Spectrum when receives the trap will assert that alarm.

This is not a Spectrum issue but a device configuration issue.
