Is there a limit for the size of ESP CKPT file? Where is it stored? What's the impact if it's large?
Component: ESP Workload Automation
Release: All releases
There is no definite limit for the CKPT file, and since two copies are stored in ESP STC memory, it will increase the memory requirement. It's placed above the line of the memory.
We recommend to monitor this file usage by message ESP1070W.
One action is to start ESP with a cold start to reformat the file. Certain job tracking data may be lost and some manual review would be needed.
Or you can run ESP utility CYBESUT9 to copy to a new larger one.
Note:
The ESP CYBESUT9 utility allows you to copy and compress the checkpoint (CKPT) file.
To use the CYBESUT9 utility, shut down the ESP subsystem.
