Health Checker alert CA1_TMC_AUDIT_PLACEMENT does not seems correct

Issue/Introduction

Hello.

Lately we have been getting this HC alert in out environment.....What's unusual is that the TMC and AUDIT datasets are on different volumes:

 Single Point of Failure Analysis for TMC and Audit

Cause

TMC and Audit are on the same control unit.

Resolution

Please note that this problem has been reported before.   PTF SO16131 introduced extra Health Checking for SPOF (Single Point of Failure).

Since then, another PTF has been created to provide options if you want this condition checked.  This PTF is LU03509.  You can download it via this link.

Alternative you could move the TMC to a different control unit.  You can do this dynamically with TMSXTENT utility.  You cannot move the Audit file without stopping tape processing.
