TLS 1.3 support on Edge SWG (formerly ProxySG) running SGOS 6.7.x

Issue/Introduction

 

Proxy administrators would like to determine if Edge SWG (formerly ProxySG) devices running SGOS version 6.7.x will support TLS 1.3 traffic.

Resolution

SGOS 7.2.x and above includes support for TLS 1.3. Support to detect and downgrade TLS 1.3 to TLS 1.2 became available for SGOS 6.7.x as of 6.7.5.9 back in May 2017.

As of currently there are no plans to include full support of TLS 1.3 on any SGOS 6.7.x release given that the EOL (end of life) for this release chain is scheduled for December 31st,  2023.
