How to find the user_id for your API key in CloudSOC

Issue/Introduction

If you are configuring a log collector to get logs from CloudSOC and you need the API key information to complete the configuration.

Environment

CloudSOC

Cause

The "user_id" is not readily available in the CloudSOC UI.

Resolution

1. Logon to CloudSOC
2. Go to Settings
3. Locate and download the API key
4. Open the downloaded key in Notepad++ from your computer
5. You will find the user_id in the JSON file
6. Done!
