Issue/Introduction

Error message when setting up SAML:

 SSO request came without user name cookie, header, or URL parameter (see CSA for agreed upon contract between SSO agent and PPM)

Resolution

  • The Entity ID is not correctly set up in Clarity - MUX - Administration - SAML Configs
  • It should match the IDP and be something like this:
    https://<servername>:<port>/niku/nu#action:union.samlMetadata
  • This issue can arise during database refresh as well. In newer versions the Entity ID is built using the SAML Config ID as /niku/sso/<SAML_CONFIG_ID> at the time of import. Need to change this manually after the import to match that of the IDP.
