vAC_ChassisType is an available view to use in custom reports and you want to know where the data comes from

Resolution
This view is populated by a query that includes the table Inv_HW_Chassis which is populated from the Inventory Solution Hardware Inventory.
The hardware inventory scans use Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) queries of standard Windows Classes.
