When install Service Desk rollup patches, does it matter where to unzip the installation media?

Resolution

Yes. Where to place rollup patch unzip folder has impact on the success of the RU patch installation.

For example, if you place it under REPLACED folder in Service Desk installation folder, RU installation will fail as there is conflict on the IO that .dat files couldn't be written or applyptf could fail.

We recommend having the install media directly under C:\ or D:\ drive. For example, C:\CASM_17.3.0.11. Also make sure when run the setup.exe, you should run as an administrator.
