Issue/Introduction

 Where do you set the amount of time before no terminal activity in Teleview sends the terminal into a lock status?

 

Resolution

After a terminal is inactive for a period of time, the terminal is locked.

In CONFIG, take a look at Review, then Review Terminals. Scroll until you see the To and Ato columns.

The terminal timeout value is located in the REVIEW TERMINALS within the Teleview Configuration panel.

<To> = The terminal timeout value. This is the number of minutes a terminal may be idle before CA-Teleview automatically logs it off. Code 99 if you do not want timeout processing performed for this terminal. If you are adding a user ID or group profile and want the terminal timeout value to be applied, code 00 (two zeros). If you want to control timeout at the user ID or profile level, code 00 (two zeros) for this terminal timeout value.

Application timeout may also affect the behavior that you observe.

<Ato> = Application timeout. The timeout defined on the terminal, user ID, or profile overrides the default timeout specified in the application definition.
