Clarity PPM On Premise

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading from Clarity 15.7.1 to 16.0.1 in an Oracle DB, it is not possible to search for words containing the German letter 'ß' (eszett), as they are not displayed. As a German customer, most resources have these characters in their names. This character represents 'ss'.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Clarity, go to Administration, Resources
  2. Change the Last Name of "admin" Resource from "Administrator" to "Administratorß"
  3. Click on 'Save and Return' button
  4. Search Last Name =  *ß

Expected Results: For an Oracle DB, results should be returned where the 'ß' and 'ss' is present.

Actual Results: No results are returned.

Cause

DE64715 - Only occurs in an Oracle Database implementation.

Environment

Release : 16.0.1, 16.0.2
