Issue/Introduction

When a user opens a Conversation from the Notifications icon receives the following message: "You do not have access rights to view this conversation".

Cause

The user does not have enough rights to view the instance that contains the conversation.

Environment

Release : 16.0.1

Component : Clarity MUX UI Usability

Resolution

As an example, if the conversation has occurred in a Custom Investment [e.g.: My Custom Investment object] instance, inside a Change instance, the resource at least needs two rights to be able to view the conversation:

  • My Custom Investment - View
  • My Custom Investment - Risk, Issue, Change Request - View

These may be instance rights for the My Custom Investment instance and Change instance or global rights (View all).

The following global right should also be granted:

  • My Custom Investment - Navigate

Then the user will also be able to see the Custom Investments icon in the navigation pane, open the My Custom Investment object and instance and open the Change instance. Otherwise, if the conversation is deleted from the Notifications panel, the user will not be able to recover those unless they know the direct instance URL.
