Unable to install APM Cloud Proxy as service

CA Application Performance Management (APM / Wily / Introscope)

Issue/Introduction

Downloaded APM Cloud Gateway for windows from SaaS APM downloads .

Installed on a target host running Windows Server 2008R2.

In an administrator command shell, followed the directions to install.

The gateway shows up in windows services GUI but will not start.

Fails to start gateway from the .exe file. 

However, when run directly from a .bat file, then the process starts and runs.

Need to have this run as a service - please advise.

Uninstalled the APM gateway process/service, cleaned up the install directory and rebooted the server – then re-installed as per the docs and everything is now working.

No idea why but it is now working as a service.

Close out the case.

 

 

 

Additional Information

-From the compatibility guide, any Windows or Linux release is supported for Cloud Proxy
