How to DEALLOCATE PACKS that are no longer online but are still allocated to QuickFetch?

Issue/Introduction

A volume that was varied offline is still allocated to a QuickFetch address space. How to release this allocation?

 

Resolution

1. Use the QFETCH OFFLINE operator to remove the volume and its data sets from QuickFetch processing.
2. The format of the command is:
   F QFETCH,OFFLINE=volser
3. This command will mark the volume unusable and exclude all managed data sets on the volume.
