Changes to CAJR251I Message for Procedure Names when upgrading to JARS 12.0 from JARS 7.1.

Issue/Introduction

Upgrading to Jars 12.0 sp1 (from Jars 7.1).  Previously Jars used to display the procstep name in the CAJR251I messages for procedures. Now, only the stepname is displayed.

 

 

Resolution

In JARS 7.1 the default was to display the procedure step name in both the CAJR251I message and the flower box.  Special PTF LS74604 was created so the JCL step name would appear in both places instead. 

In JARS 7.2 the flower box was changed to accommodate both the JCL and procedure step names.   Message CAJR251I cannot accommodate both so it stays as it was in 7.1. Ever since then, both step names have appeared in the flower box, but only the procedure step name has appeared in the CAJR251I message. However, the CAJR251I message also gives the step number, which uniquely identifies each step within a job.
