Detector for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) uses 64 bit storage for its collection data to take advantage of the larger 64 bit address space.
However some installations may limit or prohibit access to the 64 bit address space by default.  In this case PDT collections may actually
have less storage available for collection data than was previously available in the 32 bit address space resulting in message
PXM0732 and the PDT collection interval will prematurely truncate.

PXM0372 XMANAGER REGION INUSE HAS REACHED SHORTAGE THRESHOLD FOR MOBJ
PDT0171 DETECTOR COLLECTION INTERVAL END FORCED DUE TO XMANAGER STORAGE SHORTAGE

Resolution

To maintain compatibility with prior releases, users with Detector should ensure that the Xmanager address space where PDT collections are active
have at least 4GB of 64 bit storage allocated.

If installation defaults result in less 64 bit storage being allocated to the Xmanager address space then
MEMLIMIT=4G or larger should be added to the Xmanager JCL.
