Cloud Workload Protection

A Linux (Oracle 7.9) computer had the Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) agent installed to it.  At some point, when attempting to apply a policy group to the computer, the attempt would fail with a generic "failed" error.

No other information seems to be available in the console UI or on the computer's local logs.

Unknown. Possibly corruption in the in the IPS history file.

CWP agent 6.8.2x

The problem occurred on a non supported Linux platform but seemed functional until the problem occurred.

The only option that worked was to uninstall the agent service, reboot the computer then reinstall the agent again.

(a) Uninstall the agent service

rpm -e sdcss-kmod
rpm -e sdcss

(b) Reboot

(c) Reinstall the ssdcss service (the CWP agent)
