Delete PL/1 FMID CBL5100 Load Modules

Issue/Introduction

 

Can the Telon R5.1 PL/1 FMID CBL5100  be deleted from Telon SMPE libs?     

There appear to be12 load modules.   

4  in CAWLLOAD:  ( ADBPABT, ADGDBER, ADTPABT, ADUABNP )    

8  in CAWLLODT:  ( TRBPB60, TRBPB70, TRBPB80, TRBPV1S, TRBPV10, TRBPV20, TRBPV3S, TRBPV30 )

Resolution

A few years ago, the few runtime PL/1 modules (FMID CBL5100) i.e. ADBPABT, ADTPABT, etc were changed to Telon base FMID CWL5100. This complicates things in terms of deleting a PL/1 FMID. Customers shouldn't try to perform maintenance on Telon CSI. Because this may affect Telon in ways that may not be rectified.

The easiest way in this particular case is to reinstall Telon without the PL/1 FMID. 

 

Additional Information

It is recommended to take a backup of the old Telon installation including the TDF database.  This whole process has been verified, and successfully applied all maintenance as well.
