Issue/Introduction

When configuring an OAuth 2.0 mailbox, the customer wants to know if additional configuration is needed to have the notifications to use the new OAuth 2.0 mailbox.

If mail notifications are already configured and you are setting the current mailbox to use OAuth 2.0 authentication, then further configuration to the mail notifications are not necessary.

Environment

Release : 17.3 RU 4 and later

Component : SDM - In-bound/Out-bound Mail

Resolution

Maileater uses SMTP for its Outgoing notification, and so that will need to be configured using this information:

"Set the Security Level as OAuth 2.0 - SMTP"

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/business-management/ca-service-management/17-3/administering/configure-ca-service-desk-manager/how-to-configure-the-mailbox-to-handle-inbound-emails/define-a-mailbox.html

When the mail_smtp_security_level is changed to 5 to show we are using OAuth, then we can not use the previously configured mailbox.

If mail notifications are already configured and you are setting the current mailbox to use OAuth 2.0 authentication, then further configuration to the mail notifications are not necessary.

Additional Information

Mail Notification configuration is separate from Maileater configuration
