Issue/Introduction

Need to rerun an application that is several days old. Can this be done if the application is no longer on CSF

Environment

Release: All Releases
Component: ESPWorkload Automation

Resolution

The RERUNM command reruns multiple jobs. The command resets the workload execution dependencies of the specified jobs to the state they were in before the jobs ran. Application Manager schedules a rerun for them as their dependencies are satisfied. You can rerun jobs in active and completed applications.

If you rerun jobs in a completed application, ESP Workload Automation uncompletes the application and reruns the jobs selected.

Note: To rerun jobs in a completed application, the Application Tracking Record (ATR) in the APPLFILE data set must be intact. If any of the slots of the application's ATR have been reused by a new application, the rerun will fail with an error message.

To restart the entire application, the application should be available on the CSF. This would require the application records and related JOB tracking records on APPLFILE, TRACKFILE and JOBINDEX. To restart with ESP Workload Automation Restart Option(Encore), it requires that each job's EXH record still exist in the EXH data set.
