Mysqld_safe process not running in appliance gateway

Issue/Introduction

The Mysqld_safe process is not running on GWs.  but the mysqld process is running.

 

Environment

Release : 10.0

Component : API GATEWAY

Resolution

The MySQL instance  installed with the gateway appliance is not configured to use mysqld_safe .

For some Linux platforms, MySQL installation from RPM or Debian packages includes systemd support for managing MySQL server startup and shutdown. On these platforms, mysqld_safe is not installed because it is unnecessary. For more information, see Section 2.5.10, “Managing MySQL Server with systemd”.
