CA Performance Management - Usage and Administration DX NetOps

Issue/Introduction

The DBMS must use NIST FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic modules for cryptographic operations.

 

Environment

DX NetOps Performance Management 21.2.x

Resolution

We store passwords in DB using SHA2(MD5(password),512).  Mysql stores it using it's own hashing mechanisms.

mysql encryption is mysql_native_password.  There are other options for the mysql.user table, but they are as of this writing, untested
