Issue/Introduction

When applying PTFs for SYSVIEW  the JOB fails and ends with code 8, with the following message:

GIM44301E ** AN UNUSUAL CONDITION OCCURRED. GIMMPHPI - JAR GSVOAGC1 TO BE RETRANSFORMED WAS NOT IN TRANSFORMED FORMAT.

Resolution

This error is caused when the fix has somehow become truncated/corrupted during the download process.   

The solution is to:

• first REJECT the PTF from SMP/e
• download the fix again from the support site
• transfer the fix to the mainframe again, ensuring the transmission is in binary
• Receive the fix
• Apply the fix
