When needing to connect a DevTest 10.6.0 Portal and Registry to a DevTest 10.7.0 or 10.7.2 IAM and Enterprise Dashboard

Issue/Introduction

As a customer you may have many environments that you need to upgrade and so may start with the Enterprise Dashboard and IAM before upgrading each Registry and the respective server components.  

To ensure 10.6.0 Registries can connect to 10.7 and 10.7.2 Enterprise Dashboard and IAM, please follow the steps below.

Environment

DevTest 10.6.0, 10.7.0 and 10.7.2

All supported platforms

Cause

Resolution

Stop all DevTest 10.6 services.

 

Connect 10.6 Portal and Registry with 10.7.0 IAM and Enterprise Dashboard

1. From DevTest 10.6 installation, take backup of following files and delete them from, <LISA_HOME/>lib/shared and <LISA_HOME>/webserver/phoenix/phoenix-10.6.0/WEB-INF/lib/  

• iam-client-1.3.2.jar      
• keycloak-authz-client-3.4.3.Final.jar
• keycloak-client-registration-api-3.4.3.Final.jar
• keycloak-common-3.4.3.Final.jar
• keycloak-core-3.4.3.Final.jar    

 

2. Copy following files from 10.7<LISA_HOME> lib/shared directory and paste it to <LISA_HOME/>lib/shared and <LISA_HOME>/webserver/phoenix/phoenix-10.6.0/WEB-INF/lib/  

• iam-client-1.4.2.jar        
• keycloak-authz-client-15.0.0.jar
• keycloak-client-registration-api-15.0.0.jar
• keycloak-common-15.0.0.jar
• keycloak-core-15.0.0.jar    

Connect 10.6 Portal and Registry with 10.7.2 IAM and Enterprise Dashboard

1. From DevTest 10.6 installation, take backup of following files and delete them from <LISA_HOME/>lib/shared and <LISA_HOME>/webserver/phoenix/phoenix-10.6.0/WEB-INF/lib/  

• iam-client-1.3.2.jar      
• keycloak-authz-client-3.4.3.Final.jar
• keycloak-client-registration-api-3.4.3.Final.jar
• keycloak-common-3.4.3.Final.jar
• keycloak-core-3.4.3.Final.jar    

 

2. Copy following files from 10.7.2 and paste it to <LISA_HOME>/lib/shared, and <LISA_HOME>/webserver/phoenix/phoenix-10.6.0/WEB-INF/lib/  

 

• iam-client-1.4.5.jar        
• keycloak-authz-client-15.0.0.jar
• keycloak-client-registration-api-15.0.0.jar
• keycloak-common-15.0.0.jar
• keycloak-core-15.0.0.jar    

 

Update the lisa.properties to point to the DevTest 10.7.2 IAM and Enterprise Dashboard.

 

Start all DevTest 10.6 services.
